Challenge for a Cause
Most of our income comes from amazing people like you, and we really couldn’t make such a life-changing difference in Malawi without your help and support. We have been lucky to have worked with amazing volunteers who, on our behalf, have arranged things such as plant sales, cake sales, organised a 1960’s fundraising evening, run marathons, half marathons, immersed themselves in mud whilst enduring an assault courses and climbed mountains to name but a few.
Active in April or Munching in May!
Would you like to give yourself a challenge in the coming months? Maybe something ‘Active in April’ and accomplish great things on a personal level while advancing the work of RIPPLE Africa in Malawi at the same time. Equally, if you’re not up to a fitness challenge, then have fun ‘Munching in May’, perhaps a bake sale, afternoon tea or dinner party. Take a look at our Fundraising Pack for some ideas.
Your challenge can be uniquely yours and ANYTHING that will stretch and test your resolve. The sky’s the limit so let the creative juices flow! You may want to compete in a one-time event or spread it out over a period of days or weeks. It’s up to you to decide how best to meet your goals while factoring in lifestyle and other constraints.
You can set up your online ‘Challenge for a Cause’ page to use as a tool in your fundraising efforts.
‘Challenge for a Cause’ is not a one size fits all type of goal setting/fundraising event! On the contrary, the intent is for each challenge to reflect the unique and creative objectives of those participating.
It is not limited to only athletic endeavors but can include anything that you would like to achieve in the coming months. It can be a long-term goal or short-term—you decide! Our goals may all be different but together we stand united in our efforts to raise money for RIPPLE Africa and its work in Malawi.

We have many staff and volunteers that are doing their own thing. Take a look, get some ideas or help them along!
In April Nikki, Geoff, Natasha, Ilka, Rebecca have set themselves the challenge of cycling 1000 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats. They don’t even enjoy cycling…

Kay has set herself a personal challenge in that she has is committing to cycling 50 miles weekly for the entire month of April.
