




| Secondary School Education RIPPLE Africa currently sponsors about 40 students to attend various secondary schools in the local area and, apart from the new secondary school at Kapanda, the nearest of these is about a 12km walk each way. |

New Secondary School at Kapanda We began building the new secondary school at Kapanda in 2007 (click here for more information), but we urgently need more money (please see below). The school is being built in cooperation with the District Education Office and the local Chiefs. The school opened in March 2008, and there are currently about 180 students in Forms 1, 2 and 3. It is providing a much needed opportunity for students from the local villages. |

There is also a volunteer opportunity for graduates who would be able to teach maths and science, and possibly English and geography, to secondary school students at this new school and possibly at one of the community day secondary schools in the area, and to run in-house training courses for secondary school teachers.
