Funding needed: Community tree nurseries COMMUNITY TREE NURSERIES
 
In Malawi, an area of forest the size of a football pitch is cut down every 10 minutes. We want to open another 25 community tree nurseries in addition to the 137 existing nurseries. RIPPLE Africa supplies seeds, tubes, equipment, and training and awareness activities.

Funding needed: Integrated vegetable, fruit and livestock INTEGRATED VEGETABLE, FRUIT AND LIVESTOCK
 
Funds are needed to set up two integrated vegetable gardens — one at the secondary school, and the other in the community. These gardens will be an example to teach the community about improved food security and improved nutrition.

Funding needed: Motorcycles urgently needed! MOTORCYCLES URGENTLY NEEDED!
 
Our environmental project covers 4,000 sq.km, and our supervisors desperately need new motorcycles. For the success of our tree planting programme, it is vital that the supervisors visit, train and monitor all the community tree nurseries in their area.

Funding needed: Bicycles for forest guards BICYCLES FOR FOREST GUARDS
 
More bicycles are urgently needed for the forest guards who sometimes have to travel 10-15km between their community tree nurseries. These forest guards are paid by the Forestry Department, and RIPPLE Africa provides them with bicycles to help them to do their job.
